The sun is shining

The sun is shining - yeah!!!!!!!!!!! On duty on Coping phone line and I am thinking how lucky I am - I have a good life and this makes me think of all those who helped me get here - doctors, surgeons, etc. and I hope they know (I do tell those I can) how important they are to people with cancer of any kind. Their attitude can change how we feel about our particular cancer.

sharing

I want to share something that I just found when cleaning out boxes that came with us from South Africa nearly two years ago. My husband of 28 years is in USA so taking this chance to organise things.
Found the card I left in my husband's car on Tuesday 3rd May 2005 when we went to the hospital to have my mastectomy.
Its a card with the Eiffel Tower lit up on front and it says on front:
to be your friend was all I could have ever wanted
to be your lover is all I could have ever dreamed.
Inside I wrote - Chris - I love you and I wrote on a piece of paper tucked inside:

Listening course

Back from Cedars, Stownmarket after attending Training session for volunteers - hosted by Patricia and Shirley - thanks to you two hard working ladies - it was GREAT - learnt so much; listened and shared and met a new friend.
Thanks too to Nezira from MacMillan who gave the course.
I can't wait for the next course.

Good morning

Another day to live and enjoy - YEAH

HAPPY DAY

No one has been on site - how sad -I am sure there are loads of people with breast cancer out there - how are you all?

I would love to find people to talk too and share things with - I had a right side mastectomy on 2nd May 2005 and then, 18 months later a tram flap reconstruction and now live in UK, originally from South Africa.

Forum

I wonder if anyone ever looks at the website? Seems sad to me that it is not used more regularly - last update that I can see is October 2009 - gosh - it should be done all the time - even if its just something funny to cheer up or a film review or a daily blog or something.
Not being critical - just wish that when I log on something was here.

Happy Christmas

Dear Friends,

I would like to wish you all a Very Happy Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2010.

Circumstances have been such that I have run out of time (and energy!) to send Christmas cards as I would normally, so I hope you will forgive this general message to you all.

Love and Best Wishes
