The sun is shining

The sun is shining - yeah!!!!!!!!!!! On duty on Coping phone line and I am thinking how lucky I am - I have a good life and this makes me think of all those who helped me get here - doctors, surgeons, etc. and I hope they know (I do tell those I can) how important they are to people with cancer of any kind. Their attitude can change how we feel about our particular cancer.
I hope to be here for many more years, enjoying sitting in the sun (that does not happen often but I grab it when I can), taking the dog for a walk, reading, looking after the paperwork and making sure that I am not stressing about things. Been there done that - I was a planner, always in control and then I got breast cancer and as Martina Nartilova (spelling), the tennis player who has been diagnosed with breast cancer, she too was a planner, in charge of everything and then wham - she no longer is, like me and she too has learnt a big lesson as I have - now I take each day as it comes (well I try too) and I am thankful.
