Spring 2010

Belated New Year Greetings. I would like to thank you for all the Christmas cards and donations that we have received. I trust your Christmas was a happy time and you are now looking forward to the Spring. My snowdrops are already in flower pushing their way up through the snow!

As you will see we have three new, very enthusiastic members on the Committee - Carole Urch, Jane Tricker and Marilyn Sinclair. Marilyn arranges the telephone rota and does an excellent job. Not only does she send out the rotas but sends us poems and words of encouragement. Thank you Marilyn. We would like to thank Jean Godfrey for all the time she has put in over many years on the Committee and Co-ordinator for the Cambridge Area. (Jean is still a Volunteer for the Group.)

We are trying to arrange some social events. If you feel you would like to get together in your area please contact anyone on the Committee and we can give you some contacts – even if it is for a meal or coffee. The Christmas Social at the Cedars at the beginning of December was really good fun. Thanks again to Marilyn for the Christmas quiz and chocolate tasting competition. Shame about the calories!

It would be great if you could let me have your comments on the magazine. After all it is for you and we would welcome your suggestions for future editions and of course please send me your articles, recipes and photographs.
