Donation from David Leeder - Halesworth Golf Club

The Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank David Leeder who was the Captain of the Halesworth Golf Club in 2009 for his very generous donation of £935.00. During the year as Captain, David raised funds for his chosen charity.

We met David at our Committee meeting on Saturday held on Saturday 20th February 2010 and David presented us with the cheque.

We were very pleased to be able to accept the cheque which will be put to very good use.

Grace Allen

It is with great sadness that the committe have to announce the death of Grace Allen.

Grace was a member of Coping with Breast Cancer for many years and her input and committment to the group will always be remembered.

The funeral took place on 22nd January 2010 and there was representation from the group and committee.

Committee Meeting

We are...

A group of ladies who have all been through the trauma of breast cancer or some form of breast disorder.

Help and support

Drawing on the knowledge of our own experiences, we fully understand the fears and problems, which you may be facing. We can give you support advice reassurance understanding and friendship.

We as supporters are here to allay your fears and give you the hope and encouragement that we once needed in order to carry us through to where we are today - happily confident.

Partners

We have not forgotten the need of your partners and family at this time, who also have a very important and supportive role to play. They too may like to have contact with someone who has been through these experiences and we also have several male supporters who are ready to talk about any fears they may have.

Befriending

Please contact us if you would like help, we can put you in touch with a supporter in your area, who would be happy to talk to you or pay you a visit.

Coping with Breast cancer has been our goal - we have coped - having achieved that goal, let us help you achieve yours.

Volunteers

Ladies who meet the requirement of having had breast cancer and are one year post operative treatment.

Male supporters

Men who have been through breast cancer with their wives/partners and feel they can help others through this experience.
